I know it’s been a while since my last blog post, but that doesn’t mean I have been idle. December is always a busy and sometimes chaotic month and well who gets a lot done during Christmas! But with a new year came new ideas and inspiration so I’ve been working on some new cards for the shop.

Some of my favorite vendors have come out with some beautiful, cute and adorable stamp sets and dies so I’ve made a few purchases and made some new and some different cards.

One of my favorites is the Box Card. They are so cute and different. My granddaughters love them and often request them for birthdays (they are my biggest fans!). Not only do they like getting them but they keep them to display on a shelf or dresser in their bedrooms. I will be adding 3 new ones to the shop that I think are really cute and would make a great card for a child or anyone who is young at heart. Here’s a little peak of one of them…

A card style that is making the rounds and becoming very popular at the moment is the Slim Line Card. It measures 3 ½ “ x 8 ½ “ hence it’s name, Slim Line. It’s always refreshing to make something new and different and these cards were no exception. I had a lot of fun! Here’s a little sneak peak of a Slim Line Card…

I am a lover of all things ‘70s, and by that I mean 1970’s. It is by far my favorite decade. I love the old VW Bus or Kombi Van as it was often called, and if it has peace signs all over it, well…..I actually have a metal piece of art in my dining room that is of a VW Bus, complete with peace sign! I couldn’t resist it when I saw it at a furniture store here in Phoenix. So, when I saw a Die in the My Favorite Things shop, on their website ,that is a van I fell in love and knew I had to have it! It is adorable and when you fill it with your favorite characters it’s even more adorable. So I took some inspiration from a couple of designers and came up with this card…..

Isn’t it cute? Who wouldn’t love a van full of bunnies coming to wish you a happy birthday? Great for any age I think. I’ll have a few more to add to the shop too because who can have just one Kombi Van card! Not me!

Another cute card is the Happy Mail Box. I have an SVG file for the shape of the mail box, that I had purchased about 3 years ago. It makes a flat card and also a box card. I’ll make a couple of those for the shop within the next couple of weeks. For now I made two of the flat card and added a Bunny to one and a Kangaroo to another. The Bunny and Kangaroo are from two new stamp sets I purchased.

I’m not done yet! I still have a few ideas and designs swirling around in my head and will be working on those in the coming weeks. I am also working on a bit of a revamp of the website and adding a couple of more categories such as Graduation & Sympathy cards. So keep checking and take a look around.

Thanks for stopping by and if you know someone who may be interested in my little shop, please share me with them! I’d be so appreciative.

Hugs,

Jackie
