About Me

Hi, I’m Jackie. Thank you for visiting Cactus Corner Creations. I am a mother of three adult children and Nana to seven grandchildren. Years ago, I took up traditional scrapbooking and loved it! Every month about 8-10 of us would get together and work on our albums for a whole day. The fellowship and fun were priceless, and we encouraged each other as we worked thru pages and pages of photos. We even took to the Outer Banks of North Carolina once a year to have our own Retreat. Two days and nights of scrapbooking our treasured photos, eating delicious home cooked meals and enjoying all the fun that came with it!

I moved from Virginia to Arizona three years ago and love it here. The west is beautiful, and its open spaces invigorate my soul and inspire my creativity. About 6 months after moving here I began making cards for family and friends. My granddaughters love my cards and often send me messages requesting something for a friend’s birthday. I often send them cards that they can use when writing to Pen Pals or friends who live in other parts of the U.S. and even Canada! I try to create something that is specific to them based on what they like. I made the Bookzit Easel Card for my oldest granddaughter’s friend. She loves books and one of her favorites is The Wizard Of Oz. The creative process is wonderful, and I can spend hours working on designing and creating the cards. Each card I make is hand crafted.

Starting a business is a bit of a leap of faith for me. I was encouraged by friends and family to offer my cards for sale and although it has taken me until now to take that leap, here I am. For now, I simply want to share some of my work with others and in the near future will be opening an online store to sell the cards I create. These will be available as single purchases and I hope to offer box sets. If you are interested in a custom card you just have to reach out and we will work together to create what you are looking for.
